
Reverend Janet Garvey Stangvik
Rev. Janet Garvey Stangvik has resided in Napa and been the Minister for Napa Valley Center for Spiritual Living for 13 years. She is a community activist and is steadfast in her work for Peace. In 2009, she walked in the Middle East on the Path of Abraham as a powerful stand for World Peace. Her vision for Peace is Global while her focus is local. Rev. Janet has served on the Board of NEWS, Napa Emergency Women's Shelter, and served as Vice President and President on the Napa Valley Interfaith Council. She has been guest speaker at Napa Valley College, started the Napa Valley Peace Table, and was involved in Peace making efforts at the Napa State Hospital. For the last two consecutive years, Rev. Janet has been voted as the best Holistic Practioner in Napa Valley. She teaches at Holmes Institute of Santa Rosa, and is currently scheduled to speak August 3rd, at the United Centers for Spiritual Living's 2010 Annual Retreat, held in beautiful Asilomar. Janet facilitates and is known for her spiritually focused workshops and classes. Every Sunday she delivers uplifting and inclusive spiritual messages, inspiring others to live a spiritually focused life. Under her guidance the Center has purchased its own property and has been extensively involved in the Napa community through participation and giving. Rev.
