Reverend Janet Garvey Stangvik

Rev. Janet Garvey Stangvik graduated from the Seattle campus of the Ernest Holmes College. As assistant minister at the Seattle Center for Spiritual Living, she created ceremonies and rituals, facilitated support and healing groups and was Director of Youth and Family Ministries. In 1997 she took the position of Senior Minister here at the Napa Valley Center for Spiritual Living. The focus of her ministry in Napa is building a spiritually focused and dynamic community-based church. She was founder of the Peace Table, Vice President and President of the Interfaith Council and has been on the boards of community nonprofits. Every Sunday she delivers an uplifting and inclusive spiritual message, inspiring others to live a spiritually focused life. Under her guidance the Center has purchased its own property and has been extensively involved in the Napa community through participation and giving. Rev. Janet’s personal interests include interfaith activities, reading, swimming, kayaking and the appreciation of art. Click here to listen to some of Reverend Janet's past Sunday messages.
